We are working on our lineup of aircraft that will be available for viewing at the 2012 Rocky Mountain Airshow.
We have some exciting aircraft in the works. Here are some of the aircraft we had at the show last year.
Aircraft on Static Display
The BAE - Gnat was a small, swept-wing British subsonic jet trainer and light fighter aircraft developed for the Royal Air Force, and flown extensively by the Indian Air Force. It was designed by W.E.W. Petter, and first flew in 1955
A number of F-16 Fighting Falcons, better known as the "Viper", will be on hand from varous bases around the U.S. Viper's from Homestead AFB, Hill AFB and Buckley AFB are scheduled to appear. The F-16 is the most numerous multi-role attack aircraft found throughout the free world.
The P-51 Mustang is by far the best known Fighter Aircraft ever built. Original P-51 designs were given to the British at the begining of the war, but were quickly brought back to the U.S. as the primary escort plane for the 8th Air Force. Thousands of P-51's were built but there are fewer than 200 flying today.
The T-6 Texan II is the latest addition to the USAF Training Fleet. The T-6 is capable of replicating the performance of it's predecesor the T-37 Tweet. The aircraft on display is being flown by Major Byron Dobbs, an Arvada, Colorado native, and is based at Sheppard AFB.
This Beautiful TBM is brought to us by the Rocky Mountain Wing of the CAF. It will be available for tours throught the event. The TBM is representative of the aircraft President George H. W. Bush flew in WWII.
The U.S. Air Force Academy will once again be displaying one of their gliders. The academy operates one of the world's largest glider fleets and uses the gliders as an advanced training tool for thier pilots.
The C-130 Hercules primarily performs the tactical portion of an airlift mission. The aircraft is capable of operating from rough, dirt strips and is the prime transport for air dropping troops and equipment into hostile areas. The C-130 operates throughout the U.S. Air Force, serving with Air Mobility Command, Air Force Special Operations Command, Air Combat Command, U.S. Air Forces in Europe, Pacific Air Forces, Air National Guard and the Air Force Reserve Command, fulfilling a wide range of operational missions in both peace and war situations.

The Garmin G-1000 Equipped Cessna 182, flown by the Colorado Civil Air Patrol, will be on display. The CAP is the civilian wing of the USAF and is primarily responsible for search and rescue missions. Several cadet squadrons will be at the show volunteering in many capacities throughout the venue.
The Yak-52 was designed originally as an aerobatic trainer for students in the Soviet DOSAAF training organisation, which trained both civilian sport pilots and military pilots.
